I once had line twists right behind my head up to my neck. Somehow my head had gotten stuck in front of the risers. One of my scariest memories skydiving.

You should always try to untwist

It's not that dangerous, pretty common, expect this once every 20 jumps maybe, sometimes the twists are so small and easy to recover that you "forget" you had a line twist during your descent

I had quite a few, depends on canopy type. One had me going for plan b.

Happened to me on my 5th jump. Again 10 jumps later. I don’t know why it took him so long to get out of this.

@@NomeEcognome0 it went great, did the rest of the levels a-ok and I’m now fully licensed :) So glad I stuck with it even when it was hard, it’s definitely worth it.

@@TheFireGoose I'm really happy for you! I'm doing the AFF course, I recently failed the third level, I repeated it and passed even though when the instructors left me I had a slight rotation. On Saturday I should do the fourth level, I admit that I still have a bit of anxiety and I haven't yet overcome the fear of the door and the anxiety of the pre-jump. Let's hope so!

@@NomeEcognome0 don’t stress too much, it’s easy to get worried, especially when your doing training, but as long as you relax it’ll be fine. I know you’ve probably heard that loads but it’s true, a nice loose, almost floppy position will help with stability loads. Let the air almost mould you if that makes sense and everything will even itself out. I also used to have slightly uneven arms during AFF but with just a bit of practice on the ground looking in the mirror, and obviously a little in the sky it sorted itself out. It’s all about muscle memory which you will gain and quicker than you think luckily. Anyway even though failures can be scary, especially in skydiving you just gotta stick with it and try and learn from your mistakes, if you do that you WILL eventually succeed :) And I promise it is totally worth it. Also the pre jump nerves are totally normal for anyone with any amount of jumps, I know people with hundreds who still get nervous beforehand. Although it will fade with time. For me I don’t get nervous anymore, I mainly get exited. A little trick that I find works if you are a bit anxious though is to just smile when your in the pane. I know that probably sounds weird but if you just smile and try enjoy the whole things as much as you can, even if it’s a little forced, it makes it much easier. Yeah and this is a C-206 which is quite comfy compared to a 182!

I did a 90 with my front and landed downwind. Nothing radical, but no, it wasn't a normal landing.

Hey Gabbie, sorry if I missed your comment, but I didn't get any notification from RUclips... anyway, it's extremely common to fail level 4 and you shouldn't give up just because one jump didn't go well. I hope you continued or at least you'll get back to it soon. Blue skies 🤟🏼

@@LetsgoSkydive hey! No worries 😉. I’m having a procedure done at the end of the month so I’ll be out of commission for like another month. But I spoke to perris they told me once I’m ready I just gotta pay $30 bucks, take a longer harness class, some tunnel and get going. Really looking forward to continuing. I think about it every day and imagine my jump. Plus I dream about it all the time. I wont leave me alone 😂

How’d the tunnel time help? I did my level 4 not to long ago and spun out abit before I regained control. I did tunnel time yesterday for 30 minutes, but I’m still hella nervous about my next jump

@@somwone69 hi Peter I’m still waiting to go back up, haven’t been able to since I’ve got a lot of things going on right now. However when I do go back I’m doing tunnel first. I always hear tunnel helps a lot, some people have several tunnel hours. All the best on jump 5. 🤙🏻
